Jennifer Lawrence Clears Up Rumors of Having Dated Liam Hemsworth
On the June 25 episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, Jennifer Lawrence (32) was asked about the rumors and fan theories surrounding Miley Cyrus’s hit song “Flowers.” Cyrus (30) released the song on Liam Hemsworth’s 33rd birthday in January 2023.
“There’s been a lot of talk that this music video is about a secret relationship you had with Liam Hemsworth while he was with Miley Cyrus,” asked MC Andy Cohen, 55.
“That’s not true. That’s not true, that’s a total rumor,” Jennifer Lawrence replied.
“So I guess it’s kind of a coincidence,” the actress added of the Flowers music video, which features Miley Cyrus wearing a yellow dress that some fans think is reminiscent of the dress Lawrence wore to the 2012 Los Angeles premiere of The Hunger Games.
“Thank you for clearing that up,” Cohen said. Jennifer Lawrence laughed, “Yeah, I’m glad.”
Jennifer Lawrence had an on-screen love triangle in The Hunger Games with co-stars Liam Hemsworth and Josh Hutcherson.
Liam Hemsworth and Miley Cyrus met in 2009 while filming The Last Song, and dated for several years before getting engaged in 2012. They postponed their wedding in April 2013 and called off their engagement in September that year.
